"We can go house-hunting on my lunch breaks," she said, instead of getting uppity about being perfectly capable of deciding whether a location was defensible without his help. It would be his home, too, so he should have input, she reminded herself. And he wouldn't override a place she loved, because she wouldn't choose anywhere that couldn't be defended.

"Now..." Her lips curved in a teasing, suggestive smile. "I think I'm sure, but it depends. What sorts of things are included in your 'whatever'?"
