[She'll have to find some way to go with Neil so Regina doesn't see HER Christmas gift from Alice. Or should she go on her own for that part? What if Neil told Regina what her gift was? Parents always told each other everything, not even Christmas presents were secret.]

Did you do anything special for Christmas at home that you'd like to do here?

Well, we'd always listen to the carolers and the choirs sing all sorts of songs and hymns, but a Liddell Christmas was never a proper one until we sat around the fireplace with cider and read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, with all the voices of course! Do you know the book?

I know of it, but I haven't read it. We'll see if we can find a copy. Was there anything else, a special food?

Oh yes! We had mince pies and trifle with oodles of fresh strawberries and peaches with delicious custard all in between, and then a grand giant turkey with gravy that seemed as large as I was! Oh, it was warm and delicious and it was all very grand! There's no dinner like a Christmas dinner.
